Thirty Minutes Later
[Planet Surface]

Once the Away Team of Captain Brown, Commander Shepard, LT Comm Shepard, LT Harriman and LT Ingram had materialised, they would soon see that they had materialised at the edge of vast resort. In a way it looked like Risa but not as busy or as large but suited those who visited regularly.

There was several buildings made up of guesthouses, small eating establishments and bars and a huge market along with a stretch of white fine sand.

Once they had beamed down, Charlotte couldn't quite believe what she was seeing and certainly hadn't expected coming across some kind of beach resort. It was simply breathtaking and clearly not as hectic or colourful as Risa which to her was her idea of perfection, preferring the smaller resorts and beaches back home whenever she had taken a break from the Pub or Academy.

Part of her wanted to enjoy every moment of being here but then sense took over as the Captain ordered full scans as this place seemed to good to be true and maybe he was right.

Taking out her tricorder she began to initiate scans of the area.

"Initiating scans now Captain".

Once the captain ordered full scans Josh already began scanning for buildings.  "Captain I'm detecting several buildings southeast of our current location."  Josh turns in the correct position.  "It looks like the structures are on the other side of that hillside."  Josh continued his scans.  "I'm reading several life forms.  They're humanoid but not of the same species."

[Planet's Surface]

Charlotte had continued running her own scans as Commander Shepard relayed the information he had found to the Captain. The information she was receiving confirmed the same details but there seemed to be nothing dangerous and it was simply a resort of some kind where people of different species had gathered to no doubt enjoy themselves.

When he asked if there was anything that raised any red flags she spoke up.

"Nothing that I can detect Captain, it appears to be some kind of holiday resort ".

As they walked over the hill, Josh noticed the resort then right behind it was an ocean.  "Well it certainly looks inviting captain." Josh continued his personal scans.  "This is strange captain even though it does look like a resort I would figure there would be some type of weapon energy signatures possibly used by a security team or local authorities.  I'm not detecting anything at all."

[Planet's Surface]

Charlotte followed slightly behind the others as they walked over the hill, listening as Commander Shepard mentioned that there didn't seem to be any type of weapon signatures being detected and perhaps the resort had no Security or they used weapons that couldn't be picked up by the scans instead.

Charlotte however did agree that it looked inviting and couldn't wait to see more of it, imagining spending shore leave here and enjoying the beaches and ocean. " It certainly does look inviting and perhaps we'll find out more once we get there but I'm also not detecting anything untoward only the inhabitants and the facilities that we can see".

With the order given to move closer and take a good look for themselves as to what was going on, Charlotte followed the others as they approached the Entrance. She continued to scan as they walked so she could catalogue everything that they found and at the same time was looking forward to seeing more of this resort and hoped it was just as innocent as it looked so they could all enjoy some proper shore leave for once.

Once the Horizon Away Team had reached the main part of the resort, again they encountered nothing untoward as they were greeted by the various sounds and noises associated with a busy Vacation spot. Vendors were encouraging those who passed them to visit their stores or restaurants whilst others entertained the crowd.

This was definitely the place for some well deserved R&R but unknown to them all something was lurking in the shadows waiting and biding their time to strike and capture their leader.

[Underground Bunker - Planet's Surface]

Jilltac paced the room, occasionally glancing at the row of viewscreens and monitors as she waited for news from her Operative on the surface above. Captain John Brown had escaped her clutches many times and now would finally be her chance to capture him and receive all the glory and rewards she had been promised once he was in her grasp.

Although getting to torture the man was more than any reward the Obsidian Order could ever provide her but still she wasn't exactly going to turn them down. Silently biding her time now that they had received word that the Horizon was in orbit and that the Captain had beamed down with an Away Team.

Not wanting to strike immediately as this needed to be done when no one would notice or be able to stop them until it was too late. The plan was simple yet high risk but it was more than worth it if they were successful. She continued pacing as she continued to wait for the signal.

As soon as they arrived in the resort, Charlotte stopped for a moment to take it all in, from the sounds and the atmosphere to the various humanoids and other species that were having fun and enjoying their vacation. She had forgotten what it was like to visit a place like this and if they were going to have some much needed R&R then they couldn't of picked a perfect spot for it.

She started walking knowing she couldn't walk hand in hand with John especially whilst still on duty but hoped that they would be able to spend some time together away from the others later. For now she continued to look around as made her way through the busy entertainment filled main walkway and found herself smiling at what she saw.

" How about we start over there ?" she suggested pointing to what looked like a row of buildings thinking they could discuss what they would do next.
